Can I use Evident without paying?

Yes. The Free plan includes 1 student with full daily tracking, parent portal, and AI translations: no credit card required. Every new account also gets a free 14-day Pro trial.

What happens after my Pro trial ends?

You'll automatically move to the Free plan. Your data is never deleted. Upgrade anytime to regain access to Pro features.

Can I change plans later?

Individual Pro: upgrade or cancel anytime from Settings; when you downgrade you keep paid access until the end of the billing period. School plans are annual licenses paid up-front by card or invoice/PO, with renewals reviewed at the end of each term, and you can add seats mid-term at the per-seat overage rate listed on each plan.

What happens to my data if I downgrade?

Your data is always safe. If you exceed the Free tier limits after downgrading, you can still view existing data but cannot add new students beyond the limit.

How does Evident support FERPA-conscious workflows?

Evident is designed for FERPA-conscious student-support workflows. Schools remain responsible for their own FERPA obligations, and Evident supports those workflows with role-based access, parent visibility controls, audit logging, data export/delete workflows, and signed DPAs where appropriate. Yes to both. Districts can run a structured pilot with a small group of teachers, SPED coordinators, or MTSS leads before committing.
