An evidence packet is a saved, meeting-ready collection of a student's evidence for a date range: goal progress, notes, incidents, and supports, with a written summary. You build packets in Prepare and find them later under Packets.
Pick the packet type
MTSS intervention review gathers tier evidence, intervention response, and recent daily logs. IEP progress meeting gathers goal progress, data points, and accommodations. Parent conference gathers family-safe summaries, communication notes, and growth moments.
FBA / BIP review gathers ABC incidents, BIP records, and behavior support evidence. Accommodations review gathers current supports, effectiveness notes, and related progress.
Build and save
In Prepare, choose the type and student, set the audience and date range in Packet scope, load and choose the evidence, write the summary, and choose Save packet.
The student's Reports tab also has Custom report for a packet you assemble yourself.
Family shared packets and translation
A Family shared packet leaves out staff-only items. If the student's chart has a family language set, Translate for family is available when you export.
Before translating, Evident shows the text with the student's name and other identifiers replaced, and you confirm you reviewed it. The PDF then shows each translation with the original English below it.
Evident does not send packets to families for you. Download the PDF and share it the way your school normally does.
What needs Pro
Exporting the packet as a PDF, and translating it, are part of PDF export on Pro and school plans. On other plans, the packet page explains that PDF export is locked.
On school accounts, staff invited with the Teacher role do not see Prepare and Packets in the sidebar.

Where do I find a packet I saved?
Under Packets in the sidebar. Each packet is labeled Family shared or Internal team only.
Are confidential counselor notes ever included?
Not in family-facing exports. Notes marked Confidential (support team) are excluded.
Which languages can a packet be translated into?
Any of the 28 languages Evident supports, based on the family language set on the student's chart.
Can families sign a packet?
Not in Evident today. Families sign daily chart logs in the family portal.
