- After saving an edit a teammate would act on, Evident asks Tell the team about this change? with a first draft of what changed.
- Add why (optional), the date the change starts, and tick who needs to know, then choose Tell the team.
- Each person sees the change on the student, on their Today view or the student page, until they choose Read, I have a question, or I need training on this.
- The Decisions section on the Goals tab lists every change, each response, and who is still waiting.
- Every announced change draws a dated phase line on the goal's full graph, so the team can see whether the change worked.
When you change how a goal is run, the mastery rule, the target, or a behavior plan, the people who run it need to hear. Evident offers to record the change and show it to the teammates you choose until each of them responds. It is never automatic, and it only appears when someone else is on the student's team.
When Evident offers it
Edit a goal and save a change a teammate would act on: how to run it, the prompt hierarchy, the reinforcement schedule, the mastery rule, or the target. If someone else is shared on the student, a dialog asks Tell the team about this change? with What changed already drafted from the edit. Change the wording freely; the draft only saves typing.
Saving a behavior plan works the same way: the confirmation offers Tell the team, which opens the same dialog for the plan.
Choose Skip or Cancel and nothing is recorded. Evident never announces a change on its own, and a student with no teammates never shows the dialog.
Say what changed, why, and from when
What changed is the one required field. Why (optional) is for what the data showed or what you are trying next. Starting is the date the change takes effect; it defaults to today and marks the change on the goal graph.
Under Who needs to know, tick the teammates who run this goal or plan. Everyone shared on the student is listed with their role, such as Para or aide or Co-teacher. Choose Tell the team to send it, or, with nobody ticked, Record the change to keep a dated note without asking anyone to respond.
What the team sees and how they respond
Each person you chose sees a banner on the student, on the Today view for a para or aide and at the top of the student page for everyone else, that says who changed the plan, from when, what changed, and why. It stays until they respond, and shows at most two waiting changes at a time.
They choose Read, I have a question (which asks for the question), or I need training on this. The response is recorded with their name and is visible to the whole team, so a question or a training request is not lost in a hallway conversation.
Find every change in Decisions
The Decisions section on the student's Goals tab lists each change with its starting date, its author, the goal or behavior plan it belongs to, what changed, why, and every response, with a Waiting on line for anyone who has not answered yet.
The author can withdraw a change from Decisions. Withdrawing removes the change and every response to it.
See the change on the graph
Open a goal's full graph (tap the sparkline or choose View graph) and each announced change appears as a dated phase line. Comparing the sessions before and after the line is the usual way to judge whether a change to prompting, reinforcement, or the target made a difference.
Frequently asked questions
Does Evident tell the team automatically when I edit a goal?
No. It offers, after an edit a teammate would act on, and only when someone else is on the student. You decide whether to send it and to whom.
Can a para or aide announce a change?
No. A para or aide share can log data and respond to a change, but does not edit goals or behavior plans, so there is nothing for them to announce. Co-teacher and specialist shares, the student's owner, and case managers can.
Can I see who has not responded?
Yes. Each change in Decisions ends with a Waiting on line naming the people who have not yet responded.
Where does the change show on the graph?
As a dated phase line at the Starting date you gave, on the goal's full graph. Sessions before and after the line are the same data; only the marker is added.
