- From the student card menu choose Share Student.
- Enter their email and choose what they can do: Co-teacher or specialist, Para or aide, or View only. They need an Evident account.
- A Para or aide opens the student on the Today view: what to run, how to run it, one tap to log, and the behavior plan.
- The dialog lists Current Access, so you can see who can already see the student.
- Sharing is per student; your other students stay private to you.
- Families never get staff access; they use a Parent Access Link instead.
When two adults support the same student, both should log against one record rather than keeping two charts. Share Student gives a colleague access to a specific student while you stay the owner.
The Today view for paras and aides
Someone shared as Para or aide opens the student on the Today view. It shows any change waiting for them first, a Behavior plan button, then What to run today: the goals being taught or probed, each with How to run it and a Log button.
Anyone else on the team can open it from the student page's More actions menu (Today view), and a para can reach the full page with Full student page.
Why share rather than duplicate
When both adults log on one record, the chart shows the whole day, and nobody has to merge two histories before a meeting.
Agree on what counts as met for each goal and who marks which part of the day, so the shared history stays consistent.
Counselors and confidential notes
Sharing a student does not open notes marked Confidential (support team). Those are readable only by the student support team (counselors) in your organization, even when a teacher shares the student.

Can a co-teacher log on the same student as me?
Yes. Once shared, both of you log against one record.
Does sharing work on the free plan?
Yes. Share Student is on the student card menu on any plan.
Is this how I share with parents?
No. Families use a Parent Access Link or QR code from the Behavior chart tab's Settings section, which opens the family portal without an account.
Should I share or transfer when a student changes teachers?
Transfer when the other teacher is taking the student over. Share when you both keep working with the student.
