Your roster is the list of students you log. Adding them cleanly, with consistent names and the right kind of tracking, is what makes daily logging quick later.
Add a student
On your roster, choose Add a student and enter a Display Name, plus a Grade Level if you want one. For more than a handful of students, use Import to bring in a CSV file.
Initials or first name and last initial are fine. Pick one naming format and use it for everyone so students sort predictably and names read cleanly on reports.
Choose how you will track each student
A daily behavior chart scores each goal Met or Not Met for the day. Start one with Set Up Tracking on the student card menu.
IEP goals are for measured data. On the student's Goals tab, Add Goal lets you choose Binary (Yes/No), Frequency Count, Duration, Trial-Based, Interval Recording, Rate, Latency, or Task Analysis (Step by Step), with a baseline and target. A student can have both a daily chart and IEP goals.
Keep the active roster focused
When a student no longer needs logging, use Archive Student from the card menu. Archived students move to the Archived students section at the bottom of the roster with their history intact, and can be restored.
Delete Permanently is a separate action that erases the student and every log. Use it only for a record that should never have existed.

The free plan holds 30 students, Pro holds 50, and on a school plan each teacher's roster has no student limit. Every plan keeps one active chart per student; starting a new one replaces it and the old chart stays in the student's history.

Should I add students one at a time or import?
Add a few by hand. For a full class, CSV import is faster and lets you review the list before anything is created.
Can a student have more than one chart?
One at a time, on every plan. Starting a new chart replaces the current one, and the old chart stays in the student's history with all of its logs, so you can change what you are tracking without losing what you have.
Where do I record counts or minutes?
On IEP goals, not daily charts. Add a goal on the Goals tab and choose Frequency Count or Duration as the measurement type.
